Short Short Reflection 46

Listen to the Quiet Discomfort

Reflection 46 · On Inner Awareness

1-min read · Looking Inward

Not every important message arrives as a crisis. Sometimes it begins as a small discomfort: a feeling that the current path no longer fits, even when everything still appears successful from the outside.

I have learned not to dismiss that feeling too quickly. It does not always mean that we should leave, change direction, or make an immediate decision. But it may be asking us to look more honestly at the distance between the life we are living and the life we believe we should be building.

The inner voice is often quiet because it does not yet have complete evidence. Its purpose may not be to give us the answer.

It may simply be asking us to stop avoiding the question.

A quiet discomfort does not always tell us to leave. Sometimes it tells us that it is time to look more honestly at where we are.
